My name is Aälejandro Díazs. I'm an avant-garde graphic designer based in Dominican Republic, focused on minimalism, modernism, grid systems and typography.

My work is a blend between these ideas, mixed with conceptual thinking and utilitarian aesthetics. Because of this, my priority is designing with a strong concept in mind first, and art direction later, so the final piece can stand to the test of time.

More than perfection, I strive to create something iconic, visually simple and recognizable. Usability and adaptability also have a really important role in my work, which can be best experienced in web and UI design.

With all that said, I focus on poster and logo design, and love developing brands and designing for the web. One of my best examples to date is the Universal Branding System, which I created from scratch, and is shared by five brands in different fields.

Can you tell me about you and your work?

.

Most of the time I'm sharing stuff and socializing on Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter, so you're free to come and join me, and learn a little bit more about my personal life and diverse tastes in art, music and entertainment.

My work is also published regularly on Flickr, Designspiration, Behance, Cargo Collective, and Society6, which I also use sell prints (and more) of my artworks. So if you want to get the latest, just bookmark my portfolio or any of those websites.

Nice, how can I get in touch with you?

This website validates successfully as HTML5 and CSS3, which means I laboriously crafted it with great attention to detail. This is something I do in all my creative works.

Kudos to the guys over at cssgrid.net for making a great CSS framework and letting anyone use it. I adapted most of their code to work with my needs.
